Firmiano/Sigmundskron castle
Firmiano/Sigmundskron castle can trace its history back to the late Middle Ages and once served as an important defensive position in the Valle dell’Adige/Etschtal valley. In 1995, it was taken over by the Museion foundation and is now home to the Messner Mountain Museum Firmian, the pride of the museum project by mountaineering legend Reinhold Messner.
